INTRODUCTION
CyberRealityX Blog started as an initiative from Mustafa Al-Adhami and other researchers and industry professionals in the built environment. We believe students and many people in the AECO industry want to learn more about digital technology in a simpler way than what is available at conferences and journals. We want to create a place where people can share case studies, best practices, and get new inspiration for how to apply them in their projects. Few people outside of the academic community read the conference and journal papers. By presenting some of the content like blog posts, we believe we can reach a larger audience. For the readers who are interested in learning more, we also plan on linking each blog-post with some resources such as conference papers, journals, books, etc.
Our goal is to spread knowledge about digital technology in the built environment, create a knowledge-sharing platform for students and professionals, develop a network of liked minded individuals, and inspire others toward utilising digital technology.
CONTENT
Cyber Reality X Blog contain two main parts, Education and practical.
Our goal for the educational part is to make a series of blog-posts for the use of digital technology and design tools in the AECO industry, such as Reality Capture Technologies, BIM, VR/AR, sustainability, etc.
The practical part will contain a series of interviews, case studies, takeaways, and lesson learned from people and companies from the AEC industry applying cutting-edge technology. This will show how these tools are applied, their benefits, challenges, and recommendations for best practices.
Our goal is to bridge the gap between the industry and academia, spread knowledge, create a knowledge-sharing platform for both students and professionals, develop a network of liked minded individuals, and inspire others to improve the way they manage their projects.

cyberrealityx.com is based on volunteer work and is depending on blog posts contribution in order to continue. If you would like to help with one or several posts on either the education, practical or both, please follow this general guideline:
Each blog-post should contain:
- Appealing headline (Such as How to…?, 5 Takeaways from applying…)
- Picture related to the content or to the topic.
- Tags: List of the keyword in order to group similar posts.
- Main blog content: A blog post should be between 500-1000 words (1-2 A4 pages).
- Reference (if any): Please use footnote for in-text referencing ([1], [2], [3]), and Harvard Citation Style for the reference list.
- About the author: A picture and a short description of the author of the blog-post (max 500 characters). Include occupation, LinkedIn Profile, and involvement in the industry.
- Additional Resources (if any): Additional papers, books or whitepapers on the topic you want to attach or refer to for those interested in learning more.
Remember:
- The aim of the blog is to simplify topics in order to reach a larger audience, the writing style should therefore reflect that.
- The purpose is not to write a scientific or academic paper. You can write a blog post based on your research or papers you have written, but please avoid copy-paste.
- You and the Cyber reality X Blog share the copyright of your post. You may post the same content in other media as long as you reference the CRX as the original source and only after the post has been published on the CRX.
- Think about how you can present the content in the best way in order to attract and engage readers.
REVIEW PROCESS
All blog post will be reviewed by 2 editors to ensure that the content is: (1) high quality, (2) relevant to the intended audience, (3) free from grammar and formatting errors, (4) the concepts are clearly described, and (5) terms used are consistent with the language in the AECO community.
Since the blog is a volunteer effort by the community, people who have written blog posts for CRX and are considered experts in their field may be asked to help review future content.
